APEX: FORGE is a different kind of challenge.
Every hour, on the hour, you complete a loop. Finish early? That’s your rest. Miss the next start? You’re out. Make the final hour with others? The last lap decides it fastest wins.
This isn’t about speed. It’s about consistency, grit, strategy, and mental firepower.
One loop an hour. Twenty-four times.

Team Relay Category
How It Works
• Each hour, one team member completes the 3 laps
• Teams rotate runners each hour (relay format)
• The team must have one member on the start line every hour
■ Key Rule: If no team member is on the line at the start of the hour — the entire team is eliminated.
Mid-Event Team Formation
To keep FORGE inclusive and community-driven: individuals who have been eliminated may form a team
during the event.
Rules:
• Alliance must be registered with Event HQ at least 10 minutes before the hour
• All participants must have been eliminated from the Individual category
• All participants must be present at the Return Line
• Once formed, they enter the Team Relay Category and must follow all team rules
■ Important: Once you join or form a team, you cannot return to the individual category or transfer teams.

Race Day Info
Not in the traditional sense. Each lap is a one-hour block. Your pace determines your rest.
It’s mixed terrain with elevation changes. Exact GPX and elevation profile will be published before race day.
No. Many participants hike sections—what matters is finishing the loop within the hour.
Night laps are mandatory with a headtorch and reflective kit.
You’re out. Starting within the first 20 seconds is part of the challenge.
If more than one athlete reaches the final hour, the last lap is a race. Fastest finisher wins.
No each lap must be completed as marked.
Crew support is fine at basecamp. Outside pacing on course is not allowed.

By far the best event I have taken part in, there was a real buzz in the air for people to complete the event or just complete their personal challenge. If the APEX Team can create such magic in their first year you just know their second year is going to be something special and I can't wait to be part of it.
