What Is APEX Everest?

APEX Everest is a one-of-a-kind ultra-endurance challenge set in the heart of the Lake District. Over the course of 48 hours, participants climb Helvellyn repeatedly until they’ve scaled a total of 8,848 metres — the exact height of Mount Everest.

But this isn’t just about numbers. It’s about breaking limits, both mental and physical. Whether you’re tackling it solo, with a team of four, or racing in the Pro category, APEX Everest is designed to push you further than you thought possible — then support you every step of the way.

From the moment you arrive at basecamp, everything has been engineered for the experience: from route planning and checkpoint setup, to food, recovery, crew logistics, safety, and beyond. This is a mountain, a mindset, and a movement — all rolled into one unforgettable event.

Route Planning & Safety

Every ascent is carefully mapped and tested. We deploy marshals, GPS tracking, and mountain safety experts across the course to keep you safe — and on track — no matter the hour.

From tents to hot food, recovery zones, and a 24/7 crewed hub — everything is set up to support you physically and mentally between climbs.

Summit Strategy & Crew Coordination

Each stage of your climb is backed by strategic support. Checkpoints are staffed, supplies are prepped, and the whole operation runs like clockwork — so you can focus on the climb.
